Originally from Far Rockaway, NY, Dr. Ari Dicker earned a Bachelor’s in Talmudic Law in 2006 and a combined BS-Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2013 from Touro College School of Health Sciences. While in PT graduate school, Ari was the recipient of the prestigious Department of Education full scholarship. His clinical training and education electives were primarily in Geriatric Balance and Adult Orthopedic conditions. Upon graduating, Ari worked for the Department of Education in the morning and did Adult Home-care, Nursing Home coverage and Outpatient therapy in the evenings and weekends. Ari brings a unique blend of expert skilled therapy while maintaining a warm and welcoming (light-hearted) environment, leading to better patient outcomes. Ari also has experience in weight-loss related fitness, personal training, cycling, spin and other sports-related injuries.
Esther Fried, OTR/L, a graduate of SUNY/Downstate Medical Center, has been working in outpatient rehab centers for over 17 years. Her background in Lutheran Medical Center’s trauma unit and Coney Island Hospital’s Rehabilitation and Outpatient Departments, as well as her work in several outpatient facilities has helped her gain a well rounded approach to UE rehabilitation. She has worked closely with orthopedists and neurologists throughout the city. She has also worked as an OT supervisor in several assisted livings/nursing homes, and enjoys working with the geriatric population. Esther has been working in an outpatient setting in Williamsburg for over 15 years. Her devotion and warm connection to her patients and her patients’ reciprocity have made her well known in the community.
Yoni Stokar is New York-based Occupational Therapist and musician. He studied music and psychology in college, and completed his BS/MS in Occupational Therapy in 2014. Yoni has practiced OT in both inpatient and outpatient facilities, with clients young and old across the diagnostic spectrum. In addition to working at Rehab Associates, he works for the Upper West Side’s OutReach Rehab, where he does home care with geriatric patients, helping them with self care, safety awareness, adaptive equipment and community reintegration. Yoni leads weekly prayer services at several Upper West Side synagogues, and plays music for schools and kids’ groups in New York and New Jersey. He is also the manager and drummer of the Jewish wedding band Ta Shma Orchestra.
