Do I need a prescription to see a Physical Therapist?

According to New York state law, one does not need a prescription from a doctor prior to seeing a physical therapist for 10 visits or 30 days, whichever is first.

Do I need a referral or pre-authorization prior to receiving Physical Therapy?

Many insurance companies do require Pre-authorization and/or a referral prior to Physical therapy. Please call us and we will verify your insurance to save you the time and hassle.

What can I expect from my initial visit?

You will be immediately welcomed into our warm, friendly facility and receive a complete evaluation from one of our licensed physical therapists. You and your therapist will create a treatment plan based on your specific goals. Treatment will start on the same day.

Does Physical Therapy hurt?

​The goal of physical therapy is to decrease your pain and increase your quality of life. This is accomplished through the variety of treatments and focused exercises, some of which may initially seem difficult.  We will work closely with you to ensure you are comfortable and relaxed.  Programs can be modified to best help you achieve your goals.
